Here are some of the questions I get asked most often, by new clients.
Hopefully it will help to answer some of your questions, if not feel free to get in touch to ask anything.
Yes! I am fully insured with Pet Business Insurance.
Absolutely. I offer a free meet-and-greet so that you and your pet can meet me. We will discuss your pet's personality, routine and their likes/dislikes to ensure that I'm the perfect fit.
Standard walks are 30 or 60 minutes. Longer walks are available upon request.
5. Where do you walk the dogs?
For solo walks, I tend to walk from the house, as long as there are suitable walks nearby.
Group walks are around Nailsea and Backwell. If one of the dogs in my group has a nice walk nearby, I will generally collect them last and park up nearby for our walk. I try to mix up where we walk, so that it's interesting for your dog and they can experience different environments. Some examples of where we walk include: Wraxall Hill, Bourton Combe, Chelvey Batch, Nailsea Drove and Tyntesfield.
It completely depends on your dog! Just like humans, some dogs are more sociable than others, so I offer both solo and group walks. I only walk a maximum of 4 dogs on my group walks, this is the number that I feel I can safely walk and ensure that they all get my attention.
7. How do you decide which group my dog will join?
I always do at least 1 solo walk with your dog, before putting them in a group. This means that we can get to know eachother and I can assess how your dog interacts, with other dogs we meet on the walk. I will let you know if I don't think your dog is suitable for group walks and I can offer solo walks instead.
8. Do I have to book regular walks each week?
No, I have clients that use me weekly and book regular slots but I also offer ad-hoc walks. Some of my clients will just message me when they need the occasional help with walks. I always try my hardest to fit in ad-hoc walks and generally do find time to walk them, although my regular clients do take priority.
Yes, I can administer most medications including pills, topical treatments, and injections (such as insulin), as long as clear instructions are provided. I am a qualified veterinary nurse, so I have plenty of experience administerig medications.
9. Do you offer pet sitting or boarding?
I don't offer boarding but I do offer pet sitting. Pet sitting is a service in which I stay in your home, with your pet while you are away. This is a really popular service that gets booked up far in advance. I find the pets that I stay with are much happier and more settled, getting to stay in their own home.
You can book my services by contacting me through my website, email, text or Whatsapp (07845296908). I always complete a meet-and-greet before confirming any bookings, just so that I can check I'm the right fit for your pet.
I accept cash or BACS payment. I typically invoice clients at the end of each week, month or service.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of when the service is due to take place, will still be charged, due to the fact that it can be difficult to fill the space in such little time.
Yes! You’ll receive daily updates with photos, so that you have peace-of-mind that your pet is ok.
If an emergency occurs, I will immediately contact you and your emergency contact. If veterinary care is needed, I will take your pet to the nearest emergency vets.
Yes! I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and animals that require extra care, patience, or medication.
Please let me know in advance if your pet has any behavioural issues. I am happy to discuss looking after your pet but may also recommend someone with more experience, if I don't think I'm suitable. I never judge, I just need honest information to keep everyone safe.
